Young Architects Competition 2016
We had great fun here at Gagarin, working with 15 very enthusiastic young designers aged between 7-14 for this year’s ‘Build Your Own Pavilion’ Competition run by the Serpentine Gallery and V&A.
We had a great day of blue-sky thinking and the models that were made ranged in scale and use. We had a ‘Cloud Cuckoo’ Pavilion for dreaming big, a spiky pavilion for playing conkers, a place to draw or a pavilion to run through and hear a sonic boom, Flow- was a pavilion inspired by the wind and Colorama – a place to experience the wind at a festival amongst many, many more brilliant, imaginative ideas. You can see just some of their work below.
Big congratulations to ALL the children involved – these will be the designers shaping our future and we can’t wait!
