Orangebox Young People\u2019s Centre was built in Halifax for Square Chapel Centre for the Arts and funded by the Myplace BIG Scheme. The centre links to the Grade 1 listed Piece Hall and sees the conversion and extension of two Victorian buildings, originally built to store fruit and veg. The completed extension includes a wide variety of facilities for young people, including a dance studio, recording studio, climbing wall, rehearsal rooms, advice and counselling support, roof level skate park and roof garden. The project for St Berts involves the modest redevelopment of a small, modern church in the borough of Halton, Nr Runcorn. The project focus is on improved accessibility, a more welcoming entrance, improved flexible community spaces to include kitchen and cafe, training and counselling spaces. The proposal to redevelop a former rural pursuit and gun centre to form a new animal rescue and visitor centre, comprising caf\u00e9, shop, kennels, stables, outdoor equestrian arena, a\u00a0 building for storage and ancillary uses such as food preparation, treatment and administration. The main existing building including a former gun shop, link area and 2 storey building will be converted and reused within the proposal.
